Speaking at DevConf Poland

In September of this year, I had the opportunity to attend and to speak at DevConf in Krakow, Poland.

It was one of the best events I’ve had a chance to be involved in. The conference logistics were very well organized and thought out, I had lots of opportunities to interact and network with fellow attendees, my fellow speakers, and the conference organizers.

Another unique aspect of DevConf is the venue. The conference is held within a multiplex. There’s nothing quite like delivering a session in front of a gigantic IMAX screen.

My slides from the conference are below:

And here is a link to the recording of my session:

The conference had a very interesting way of collecting feedback. Outside of each track room, there was a table with 3 stacks of red, yellow and green bits of paper and a bowl. Upon exiting the room the attendees would put a green piece of paper if they liked the session, yellow if they felt the session was “meh” and red if they didn’t like the session.

I am happy to report that I got 47 greens and a single yellow.

DevConf was an excellent experience and I hope I’m invited back for the following editions.
